Timex watch parts – Patek Philippe Men’s Watches: Sky Moon Tourbillon

Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon is a manual winding mechanical watch using the Patek Philippe 109 caliber which is of RTO 27 QR SID LU CL. This piece is decorated with Cotes de Geneve. The caliber is also beveled and hallmarked with the Geneva Seal.

The chronometer has the COSC certification. The functions include hours, minutes, perpetual calendar, minute repeater, sidereal hour, sky map and lunation. The perpetual calendar displays the date, day, month, year and moon phase.

The three-piece 18k yellow-gold case comes with a diameter of 43mm and a thickness of 16.2mm. It uses a double curved sapphire crystal with a gold crown.

The crown is positioned at 2 for the sky map and sidereal hour. In addition, located at 4 for the movement there are 4 correctors and repeater slide on the middle decorated with engraved Calatrava crosses.

The gold silvered dial comes with applied gold Roman numerals with printed railway track. This comes with gold Poire hands. The rear of the dial is made of blue sapphire crystal with white enameled Poire skeleton hands. The crocodile leather strap is accompanied with a gold clasp.

The indications on Sky Moon Tourbillon include the month positioned at 3, the moon phase at 6, and day located at 9. The four-year cycle is positioned at 12 and it has a retrograde center hand.

The sidereal hour, lunation and visible sky part make up the other indications and should be considered the real essence of this wonderful watch. A sidereal hour is the time referred to the passage of the same meridian with respect to a certain star (not to the sun). Lunation is shown by the oval shaped sky vault visible on the dial and it has a period of 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.82 seconds.
